He also conveyed his greetings to Albanians wherever they live — in Kosovo, North Macedonia, Montenegro, the Preševo Valley, the Arbëresh communities, and the Diaspora — expressing gratitude to doctors, nurses, members of the Armed Forces, law enforcement officers, firefighters, and journalists.

His message concluded with wishes for health, joy, and stronger trust among Albanians.

“Dear citizens, dear compatriots,

Tonight, as you gather around the festive table with your families and loved ones, I would like to take just a few moments to extend my heartfelt wishes for the New Year.

New Year’s Eve is a time for reflection, a moment to look back at what we leave behind and to shape our hopes for the year ahead. Above all, it is the celebration of family. The values nurtured within the family are precisely those that give strength and stability to our entire society.

Caring for the younger generation is not merely a feeling, but a wise choice for the future. Investing in our children and youth is the cornerstone of the European Albania we aspire to build.

Albanians have shown that knowledge, dedication, and honest work are our greatest strengths. We have demonstrated achievements. Behind every success lies hard work and family sacrifice, proving that the future is not built with grand words, but with daily commitment.

Dear Albanians,

Your honest work, engagement, and success strengthen our trust and hope for the future.

Brothers and sisters,

The year that is coming to a close was a year of efforts and challenges, during which Albania once again demonstrated its determination to move forward. We still have work to do to narrow inequalities and strengthen trust in institutions. We reinforced our international role and took concrete steps toward the European Union. We made progress in strengthening the rule of law, in the fight against corruption and organized crime, and in ensuring the independence of the justice system.

Encouraged by our successes and humbled by our shortcomings, the year 2026 must be a year of joint effort to turn European standards into a tangible reality in the life of every Albanian family.

The national interest and dialogue must guide our actions in building a fairer and more prosperous society, because what unites us is stronger than any interest that divides us.

Therefore, on the eve of the New Year 2026, my first wish is for cooperation and coordination around national goals and interests.

My warmest greetings and best wishes today go to Albanians wherever they live — in Kosovo, North Macedonia, Montenegro, the Preševo Valley, the Arbëresh communities, and our Diaspora. You are an inseparable part of this nation and a vital energy for our shared future.

I extend a special greeting tonight to all doctors, nurses, members of the Armed Forces, law enforcement officers, firefighters, and journalists, as well as to all those who are on duty today, away from their families.

Our thoughts also go to those who are spending this night in hospitals or in difficult conditions, far from the warmth of home.

May every Albanian family, from children to grandparents, be blessed with health, joy, and prosperity.

Above all, for the New Year 2026, I wish for greater trust in one another and more understanding, because Albania is our shared home, our daily responsibility, and the future we are building together.

With humility toward the challenges ahead, with faith in the values of work, solidarity, and civic responsibility, and with determination to build our European future, I wholeheartedly wish you: Happy New Year 2026!

May God bless Albania and all Albanians.

May God bless you and your families.

Happy New Year!”
