This is hilarious. I’m wondering what the logic is behind that.

Georgia uses CIS $ for regional pricing. However, Ghost of Tsushima is available in all “CIS” countries (with prices set in that currency) except Georgia.

  1. sony tried to implement their psn account to pc so to play their games you needed account, problem is PlayStation is not officially in **121** countries, so they made genius decision to just restrict these countries and you couldn’t buy their games on pc there. then they realized how dumb of the decision financially this was and made some games available for everyone like god of war ragnarok and made helldivers 2 available for everyone again (it was before their psn decision). ghost of tsushima was also released on pc during that period and thats the reason why it was not available in georgia. idk why its STILL not available tho.

  2. Im guessing you could pirate it. In Australia when I was a teen, we had a religious panel that banned games they deemed amoral. Didnt even know hot line miami 2 was a thing because they banned it lmao also they made the zombies in left for dead 2 have no blood effects and despawn right after dying ;(

Words cannot describe how much I hate regionlocked content. This happens to me constantly while searching for stuff on streaming services, either the service itself or the specific content is just not available here.

That’s funny. I think a lot of people on this sub rooted for stuff like this against Russia and here we go

  5. Ubisoft uses the same logic when they only include Russian language for purchases made in Georgia. I wonder if Sony is trying to participate in cutting off Russia from the international market but because they include Georgia in the Russian region, Georgia got caught up in that?

  6. I’d pay to anyone else to kill the regionlock feature off. They’re one of most worst things to ever exist in the internet.

  7. Yeah knew that for a while. Also can’t purchase a lot of games on steam without it coming only in Russian, primarily Ubisoft games, which is unrelated to Sony’s stupid fucking rule but yeah

  8. Even if it wasn’t region locked i’m never paying over 100 lari for a video game sorry r/FREEMEDIAHECKYEAH

Fun part is that you can play any other game of Sony, but you can’t ghost, this is simply a joke. Being crying about for years.

  10. Steam’s region-locking is fucking ridiculous. It’s like they’re incapable of understanding that a person can live outside the country of their origin.

“You’re in Georgia? You have to use a Georgian card and the Georgian storefront. You can’t use your Australian or American cards.”

“You’ve moved to Spain? You can’t use a non-Spanish card. Open a bank account without a visa or wait 3-4 months for your visa to be approved.”

“You’re visiting family in Australia? No, they can’t buy you a Steam gift card or gift you a game on Steam. You’re Spanish.”

“You can’t change your location to Australia. You only changed it to Spain two months ago!”

  11. That’s a PSN issue, for ex. God of War: Ragnarok wasn’t visible on Steam till they removed account linking.
