    Daily reminder that modern “Canada” and “Americans” didn’t really exist back then and that the terms in this context are anachronisms.

  2. British and Rebels is more accurate. Still, the history of lower Canada is fascinating and is something that everyone should know. The Plains of Abraham reenactments are just awesome.

    Arnold did it to himself, dragging his men across rough terrain of the Appalachians in the Fall and then trying to lay seige to Quebec City in December. He should have read up on his history.

  4. Why would you expect anyone to care what happened 250 years ago? People don’t even care about what’s going on now.

    We’ve been told our history is a collection of atrocities committed by colonizers. Why would modern Canadians care that one group of colonizers briefly beat another group?

    We’re gearing up to repeat history from other areas, not learn from our own.
