A man charged with four counts of burglary has been remanded into custody following an overnight break-in at a supermarket in Swindon town centre.
Police were called to Iceland in Havelock Square shortly after 11.30pm on Tuesday, December 30 following an alarm activation.
Officers found damage had been caused to a glass door and a cabinet containing alcohol inside the shop and it was cordoned off as a crime scene until Wednesday afternoon.
Dean Cochrane, 44, of no fixed address, has been charged with four counts of burglary and has been accused of targeting several shops in the town centre.
He appeared at Swindon Magistrates Court on Thursday, January 1 but did not enter any pleas.

The 44-year-old has been remanded into custody ahead of his next hearing on Wednesday, January 7 at the same court.
Cochrane reportedly stole £350 worth of whiskey from Tesco on December 24 and a charity bucket from Greggs in Havelock Square on December 28.
He has also been charged with stealing alcohol to the value of £373.75 from Tesco in The Parade on December 29.
Wiltshire Police has confirmed that their enquiries are ongoing to identify another suspect believed to be involved in the Iceland incident.
