  1. We really haven’t learned the lessons we should have.

    We haven’t come out of this with a better public health system, and we’re arguably less prepared for a global pandemic than we were 6 years ago.

    What I’ve learned is that a lot of people are morons, somehow even more ignorant than our ancestors, who at the very least knew enough, as with the Great Plague of London in 1665-66, that when a highly communicable is causing large scale illness, shutting down meeting places is the rational approach.

    Oh, and social media is a scourge upon humanity.

  3. Nothing. The world learned nothing. In fact they are more distrusting of science and public health measures than ever.

    Despite the fact that the world pulled off an historic scientific and public health achievement by creating and releasing a vaccine in less than a year and saved countless lives, there are still so many loud voices out there crying about the fact that they had to wear a mask and stay in their homes.
