Longer-form video of the horrific sequence of events leading up to the NYE tragedy at Le Constellation. RIP to those affected by this horrible incident, showing partygoers unaware or unconcerned while staff attempt to tackle the blaze.

  1. What the…. the fire is there… people dancing, singing and filming it instead of using the precious time in that moment to evacuate.
    How desentizised where the people?

Poor mods have to delete everything. Ask me if you need help, I’m terminally online anyway.

  3. I’m sorry for them but also goes to show what our society has become: Smartphone first, film everything and care about the rest later.

  4. I’m seeing a lot of pontificating on various social media about these videos, even though it’s pretty clear this fire spread at an absurdly fast pace. Not only are these poor folks young and drunk, the time that they had to take the correct decision to bolt out was a matter of a few seconds.

This reminds me so much of the ‘Station’ fire 25 years ago, that was also started with fireworks even though he was told not to use them. Only difference is the bouncers weren’t blocking all the other exits.

Soundproofing is highly flammable. People just don’t realize. Fireworks is asking for a death trap stampede.

Conclusion. Same issue as in the club fire in Brazil a couple of years ago. Pyro indoors is a bad idea. Especially with flammable ceilings. And yeah, filming and not leaving while it is clearly already burning is not the ideal reaction :-/

And the guy outside shouting “ oh la dinguerie*” while filming 😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡

    (*Slang for madness)

What the fuck is going on with them on the staircase, they’re literally stuck on nothing.
