Czechia got goals from six different players en route to a 6-2 victory over Switzerland in the quarter-final at the World Junior Championship.
Tomas Galvas, Samuel Drancak, Adam Jiricek. Petr Sikora, Jiri Klima and Jakub Fibigr scored for the Czechs.
Sikora and Klima led the Czechs with a goal and two assists each.
Switzerland jumped out to one-goal leads on two occasions but were unable to hold on after taking 1-0 and 2-0 advantages.
Leon Muggli and Jamiro Reber scored for the Swiss, whose run at the tournament will end without a medal.
Following Finland’s win over the United States in the third quarter-final matchup, Czechia could once again meet Canada in the knockout stage with a chance to advance to the gold-medal game. Czechia has eliminated Canada from the tournament in the quarter-final in each of the past two tournaments.
