Hi all and happy new year 🌿
I’m looking for some advice with the cost reimbursement process via Techniker Krankenkasse.
I’ve been registered with them for about 6 months now, and had immediately began the process of searching for regular therapy through their systems and through 116 117. Over the last 6 months, I’ve only received rejections without an opportunity of a waitlist.
I had started seeing a therapist out of my own pocket, and he helped me begin the kostenerstattung process (because I cannot afford to see him regularly).
Within 2 months, I documented 24 rejections/request attempts, 2 sprechstunde visits via 116 117, and 2 prescriptions for needed psychiatric care from my hausartzt and from an emergency psychiatrist. I submitted this documentation with my PTV 11 and an explanation of my case (need for therapy, no space in the practices covered by TK within 3km of me). They rejected it with the reason that there are over 50 practices under TK in my district, and that my search attempt of the last 6 months didn’t prove a system failure.
Do they need me to reach out to every single practice in Berlin for it to count as a system failure?
Has anyone had success with this process(specifically for therapy)?
I attached my last round of communications with them (the widerspruch), if anyone can point out what I missed? And what I can do now? I’m almost ready to give up ..
Thank you 🌹

You might want to properly redact your personal data in the pictures, there’s is at least one answer which starts with your name (pic 3)
I was also in a similar situation. when it comes to mental health help it’s so difficult and I’ve seen other posts where people had the same issue trying to get approved for therapy. To make it harder, the therapists in my area aren’t taking new clients which is why I was hoping TKs list would be somewhat helpful and when I called explaining the situation they were just like “there’s nothing we can do”. So I’ve been paying out of pocket for a therapist I see online once month
