The Albanian Road Authority (ARRSH) has issued an update on road conditions across the country following overnight rainfall, snowfall and low temperatures.
According to ARRSH, snowfall has stopped, while the country is currently experiencing light to moderate rainfall accompanied by rising temperatures.
Road maintenance teams, supported by snowplows and other equipment, remained on the ground throughout the night, working to clear roads of rocks and debris and to spread salt on road segments where there was a risk of ice formation.
ARRSH said traffic is continuing normally on all national road axes.
Authorities have nonetheless urged drivers to exercise increased caution and to equip their vehicles with winter tires and snow chains, particularly when traveling toward mountainous areas where snow is still present.
