On the 4th, the Shizuoka Prefectural Police announced that they had arrested three 17-year-old boys, including a high school student, on suspicion of robbery with injury and trespassing, after they broke into a store and residence in Nagaizumi Town, Shizuoka Prefecture, tied up a couple in their 80s, and stole approximately 10 million yen in cash. Police have not revealed whether they have admitted to the charges.

According to the First Investigation Division, the three arrested are all residents of Kanagawa Prefecture: an office worker, a plasterer, and a Filipino high school student. They were arrested on suspicion of binding the mouths and wrists of a couple in their 80s who lived in a store/residence in the town with tape on December 22nd last year, and stealing approximately 10 million yen in cash from inside the store. The husband suffered minor injuries when he was tied up.
