Road workers during the last night conducted anti-slip operations in the northern, central, and southern parts of Moldova. A total of 42 workers and 46 special vehicles were involved in the technological process.


According to the National Roads Administration, interventions took place in the following sectors: Briceni, Donduseni, Ocnita, Floresti, Soroca, Rezina, Chisinau,  Criuleni, Dubasari, Ialoveni, Basarabeasca, Cimislia, Leova, Cainari, Causeni, Stefan Voda and Cantemir. The technological process utilized 346.85 tons of technical salt and 28.60 tons of anti-slip materials.


Meteorologists issued a yellow code for adverse weather conditions, valid from January 4, 10:00 to January 5, 14:00, covering the entire country. On this period, widespread black ice, sleet and ice formation on roads are expected.


Thus, citizens are urged to stay informed about the weather conditions in advance and to avoid travel if vehicles are not properly equipped for winter conditions.
