The State Police intervened in the late hours of Sunday evening to disperse activists of the “Albania is Becoming” movement, who had been holding an uninterrupted protest in front of the Prime Minister’s Office building for about a month.

During the intervention, police forces used special means to remove some of the equipment and tools used by the protesters during their stay.

It has been reported that the leader of the “Albania Becomes” movement, Adriatik Lapaj, was also injured in this action. According to preliminary information, he is suspected of having suffered head injuries caused by a gas canister.

After the incident, an ambulance was called to the scene and Lapaj was transported to the hospital to receive the necessary medical attention.

After receiving medical assistance, the chairman of the “Albania Becomes” Party, Adriatik Lapaj, reacted on Facebook.

” Edi Rama, I hold you responsible!”

Friends, last night after midnight, dozens of Edi Rama’s forces attacked us in a rage. Faced with the violation of my Constitutional right to express my opinion through protest, I did not move. I started filming. As a result of their actions, one of the heaters hit me.

I am at the Trauma Hospital where I am undergoing examinations. I will return to the square again. Edi Rama, I am not afraid of you. On the contrary! You are the leader of a gang and you will be held responsible.

” I call on everyone to unite against thieves !” Lapaj writes.
