also some stupid analyst said Denmark was in “crisis mode”. As you can see from the unhinged and panicked remarks from the PM, this can only be true 🙄
The solution is simple. Wait for trump to do something illegal in Denmark, and then tell him hey we’ve decided to give you Greenland~~Denmark~~, you just gotta come out here and cut the ribbon at the ceremony; then boom, arrest him once he lands in Danish territory. Show the world how it’s actually done and you’ll get most of America buying danish’s by the end of the month.
Zero chance. Greenland isn’t for sale, and saber-rattling won’t change that.

Before vz happened I would say trump is just all talk and saber throating. But now unfortunately I think he’s serious and plans need to be made for any of the countries he mentions to defend themselves. I’m sure they already had plans planned but I would make even more plans.

Actually, all Denmark has to do is gift Trump with a big beautiful golden crown in an elaborate ceremony with full military escort, parade and fighter jets and declare him to be honorary King of Greenland tracing him back to some esoteric ancestral link. I have to wonder at what point the US becomes too stretched with where and how it deploys its military.
Venezuela is going to suck up resources, there are rumours doing the rounds that the US will also get involved in Iran.
Both of these countries are propped up by Russia, as was Syria.
So on the one hand things are definitely weakening Russia’s influence, but on the other hand it doesn’t match the Trump/Putin relationship (well, the optics, at least).
Historically the US has always regarded South America as its backyard to do with as it pleases (chile, Nicaragua…) so a military action there is illegal but nothing out of the ordinary.
Once people start clutching their pearls we can all talk about how the US has simply taken off its mask.
Involvement in Iran would also not be surprising, since the hostage situation the US and Iran have been open enemies.
But Greenland? Annexing territory of a NATO member? Now THAT would radically realign the world order.
I wouldn’t want to be the person tasked with predicting how this will unfold.
One thing though: a weaker, more isolated Russia means a strong China. And the Chinese have some things they’d like to discuss with the Russians once they’ll be in a position of power. Ownership of Siberia for one, and/or their backing of the taking of Taiwan

The whole EU should be in crisis mode and start PREPARATIONS. There is no harm in preparing and staying alert. We can’t trust a mad baby.
If he takes Greenland, every EU country is next in line depending on how much resources they have.
Trump wants “Scandinavians” immigrants so bad, he is gonna invade Denmark and Norway and kidnap their people to The States.
Safest thing would be to open European military bases in Greenland. It might give a pause and make Americans go for easier targets.

Notice how quickly the attack on Venezuela is superseded by another “we want Greenland” diversion. This isn’t coincidence, it’s strategy. And politics and the media ALWAYS fall for it.

The issue for me is not about who “owns” Greenland but rather what might happen if the US decided to move on with this, they will end up destroying a very important natural ecosystem that is important to the whole planet

Such threats by Trump should be a basis for EU countries kicking the Americans out of the many US military bases. Maybe at one point someone from the military leadership should grow a spine and tell Trump this shit just isn’t flying anymore.
The only lesson to learn here is that the US is now more than happy to backstab their allies if it comes to it. Denmark ha cooperated fully with the US in every single way. As a thanks for that they are getting a big middle finger now.
