I find it amazing how little discussion this has received. Last winter, the chairman of the Center Party skipped the OSCE winter meeting, where Ukraine, media freedom, artificial intelligence and security in Europe were being discussed, to go to a closed conference in London with Jordan Peterson, the Heritage Foundation and people who are literally writing manuals on how to weaken democracy, the EU, human rights and climate action. This is not some innocent lecture or “curiosity”. This is a certain ideological environment, certain relationships and certain priorities, and here Simmi and the center party are saying we are part of this. And when the same forces are starting to talk openly about that "”reshaping” Europe, weakening the courts and calling climate action madness, a hoax, then I think it’s quite natural to ask, what is an Icelandic member of parliament going there? And why exactly now? It’s not about listening to different opinions. It’s about who you choose to sit at the table with. I hope some media will pick this up, because I don’t think it looks innocent at all. I think it’s a statement.
Edit: DV analyzed since before Christmas, the leaders of the Center Party had gone to the United States to learn from the MAGA movement how it wins elections. I also know that young independents did the same thing last winter (just know).
Something tells me these parties will celebrate if the USA takes over Greenland

Nei það er ekki ótrúlegt, þessi ÖSE kalda stríðs stofnun er barn síns tíma og er að berjast við að halda sér á lífi og stríðið í Úkraínu gerir þessa stofnun óstarfhæfa þar sem Rússar eiga fulltrúa þarna. Það mætti notabene enginn frá ESB á þessa ÖSE ráðstefnu, Brussel mafían lét bara sendifulltrúa mæta fyrir sig.
