Working at the Colina Verde Resort in the Algarve, the purpose of the camp is to allow Paul Rowley, his fellow coaching staff and the players to train away from the winter conditions in the UK.
Embracing the warmer climate also results in the team being able to train on the field consistently with fewer interruptions caused by snow or frosty pitches. It also means that the Saints can step up the intensity of each session, as the new campaign edges ever closer.
The camp is hugely important as a bonding experience too, with our new Head Coach and a number of new players and staff too, the week is time for all involved with the team to develop their relationships, both on and off the field.
