In the “Financing a greener world” series, we’re diving into the world of sustainable finance: what it does, how it works and why it’s important for Luxembourg. In the final episode, we’re asking: What do real retail investors in Luxembourg think about sustainable investments?We are joined by four individual investors who live in the Grand Duchy: Alexa, who works at a financial communications firm; Gabriel, a CFO at a tech firm; Mathilde, who works at a big four consultancy; and Carole, who runs a fund communications agency. All were speaking in their personal capacity and none were representing their employer.The conversation ranged from understanding the EU’s SFDR (article 6, article 8 and article 9) to doing due diligence and continuing to check fund documentation, and to the need to ‘start early’ and ‘start somewhere’.
