      Yes, last year many were confusing the Presidents *proposed* budget as some kind of done deal, despite Congress almost instantly moving to reject it.

      Fuck anybody who tried to get that horrific 18 billion dollar budget approved. Thank god NASA is at least mostly safe for now. It just needs to weather the storm until we can hopefully get some sensible people back in the Whitehouse.

      Most of NASAs budget was always spent on hardware and services from the aerospace corps

      So it was a dubious proposition that they would agree to accept less. With Isaacman getting confirmed it appears that at least some part of the aerospace lobby has managed to assert itself again after the vandalism by Vought and his goons

      But with all the NASA furloughs, early retirements and layoffs, this 24 billion is going to be forked over with a lot less oversight. Win win for right wing grifters and the corps. The US taxpayer is probably going to get less out of it.
