National weather service Meteolux has extended its weather warnings after it issued a yellow level alert on Sunday for Monday morning.

A new level yellow snow warning has been declared for 14:00 until midnight. According to Meteolux, between one and two centimetres of fresh snow could fall during this period. In addition, a yellow cold warning has been issued for Tuesday from 01:00 to 10:00, with Meteolux currently forecasting temperatures between minus seven and zero degrees Celsius, though no precipitation is expected during that time.

But the break in the snow early on Tuesday could be short-lived. The national weather service is forecasting one to two centimetres of snow for both Tuesday and Wednesday. Temperatures are expected to rise slightly on Thursday and could finally reach above zero, which could lead to five to seven litres of rain per square metre in addition to the snowfall.

Friday is forecast to be rainy but slightly milder, before temperatures are expected to fall again to around freezing point at the start of the weekend.
