They prostitute themselves for fame and money, and when the Republican Party violates whatever principles the influencers had championed on their behalf, those influencers have a choice to make—defend those principles and be disavowed or abandon them and maintain their ties to the Party—and since they were prostitutes to begin with, they always choose to abandon their principles and keep the money.
