Zach Bryan put months of fan speculation to rest and announced on New Year’s Day that he and Samantha Leonard have married.
And that wouldn’t be weird at all if not for the fact that Leonard looks so much like Bryan’s ex, Barstools Sports personality Brianna “Chickenfry” LaPaglia. The fact that the two are spitting images of one another has not been lost on folks, especially Barstool Sports founder Dave Portnoy.
Portnoy has made it clear that he is not a fan of Bryan, and when TMZ reported the singer and Leonard were married, along with a photo of the pair, he swooped in. Portnoy reshared TMZ’s post on X and wrote, “There ain’t no way that ain’t a Brianna robot. Ain’t no way.”
His followers pretty much agreed.
“It’s pretty weird,” one person replied.
“He’s got a type,” another wrote.
“Holy (expletive),” another wrote.
“It’s actually really (expletive) creepy,” another replied. “’Tougher than the rest’ just means she hits him back.”
That final comment appears to be a reference to LaPaglia’s accusations of abuse as she and Bryan went through their ugly breakup in late 2024.
There were a few Bryan fans who stepped in to support him and throw a few jabs toward Portnoy and “Chickenfry.”
“It’s a Brianna upgrade, ShortBoy,” one person replied.
“Buddy is rent free in your head for life,” another wrote.
“Your obsession with him is weird and creepy,” another wrote.
Bryan and Leonard began sparking speculation that they were married or engaged late last year when eagle-eyed fans fixated on a handful of very short clips that appeared to show them with rings on.
