  1. Russia has a population slightly larger than that of Japan producing a GDP not larger than that of Italy to maintain infrastructure spread over an area about half as large as the moon surface, containing some of the most inhospitable climates on Earth.

    It is already a small miracle their infrastructure is as “good” as it is, and it will only get worse.

  2. They just keep kicking their problems down the road. And yet the country keeps going along down this path regardless of the consequences. Russia won’t break in a single day, but the current situation can’t be sustainable. This war will still be affecting them 50 years from now.

  3. It should be pretty clear by now, that starting a war with its western neighbour was a really, really bad idea for Russia to pursue.
