I remember when Russian casualties hit a hundred thousand. It seemed an impossible loss for any modern army. Absurd, ridiculous, pointless. Putin seems determined to prove that he’s up there with the biggest asshats in human history.

I’ve been reading about Russian morale collapsing for 4 years now.
Don’t misconstrue the point. I’m not saying it’s not true (for a given value of true), nor inconsequential; ultimately.
I’ll pick an extreme comparison to illustrate. I’m sure there’s plenty of really shitty morale in North Korea as well … I’m not holding my breath for their collapse any time soon though.
Russia is not NK … sure, but they’re sick in similar ways.
