If you don’t strike a blow to him here, you will be stuck with Republicans in the Senate and House of Representatives who will do nothing to stop this. Maybe until 2028, but that election will probably be rigged.
Are Dems perfect? No. But what else do you have? Are you gonna vote for Jill Stein, who will rest in the dungeons of Moscow after the election cycle? It’s your only chance to stop this mad tyrant before you hit critical mass.
And this is the optimistic version of this story. Maybe it’s already too late, and the midterms could be rigged already, but I refuse to be so pessimistic. Dictators fear hope, the idea that things don’t have to be miserable, because hope drives change. This can still be stopped. Trump has already done a lot of damage to the US. Don’t let him do any more. And some of that damage cannot be reversed, but lying over and capitulating will only make things worse.
