    > What’s sauce for the goose is sauce for the gander. The destiny of the Canada goose very much depends on the fate of the Danish Greenlander.

I throughly enjoyed this little rhyme, it sums things up nicely.

  2. Canada should state in plain terms that we will withdraw from NATO in the event America seizes Greenland. Any NATO that exists after that point is just the countries that have openly yielded their sovereignty to the yanks.

  3. We’re firmly in the “too many takes” moment following the Venezuela events. Not that it isn’t valid to discuss all these possibilities. But there are just seemingly thousands of op-eds, tweets and articles extrapolating what this means for the future of the world. I think I need to let it settle before engaging further.

My polymarket bet is that the administration will just start building bases on Greenland’s coasts without consent or approval. This entire invade fiasco seems pointless and works against this administration’s goals. To kill any greenlander would trigger a chain reaction that would ultimately undermine their goals. A soft invasion, as in just building on the locations that they want will cause a weaker response from NATO members, possibly even acceptance.

If the goal of the Greenland invasion is to break up NATO, hot invasion and occupation. If the goal of the Greenland invasion is national security, soft invasion and start building immediately.

I obviously don’t support this, just trying to wrap my mind around the most potential outcomes in this scenario.

  5. No it doesn’t it runs through the massive border we share with them. If America wants to take over Canada they don’t need Greenland to do that

There’s also the chance that because the administration now poses an existential threat to many nations – be it military, economic, or technological (via us tech companies who will absolutely do whatever Trump asks them, make no mistake) – that the matter might be resolved sooner than later.
