It’s curious that a country like Poland still doesn’t have a nuclear power plant.
Another thing is that municipal authorities in many cities prefer to spend money on unnecessary things such as football stadiums, instead of connecting every flat to district heating and reducing particulate matter emissions.
I’m not surprised that ordinary people live by the principles of NIMBY and _panem et circenses_. However, the authorities should be guided by a slightly more foresighted vision.
