It’s a bit sad that no other country has joined us.
But I’m always happy when we bear arms alongside Barry!

Nice of those countries closer to Russia not to bother.

All NATO countries should send forces to Ukraine in event of a peace deal, not just the UK and France saving Europe’s ass.
Ihor_90 on
Foreign troops, or any tangible security guarantees, will never be accepted by Putin. The only peace deal he’s interested in is one which makes it easier to invade again in the future.
Mdk1191 on
I feel like Germany could of joined especially in peace, I hope this is not an indicator for greenland

Gee, great. Now all we need is a peace treaty. Piece of cake, right?

Once more unto the breach, dear friends, once more. How depressing is it that we live in such times as these.

Join us you cowards!
Makilio on
Sort of performative. All of this is based on if a peace deal or ceasefire is reached and one that doesn’t explicitly forbid this or restrict Ukraine’s sovereignty. There’s virtually no reason for Russia to accept any peace deal they can’t dictate now.
Sneaky_Squirreel on
No surprise it’s just UK and France, considering only they have nuclear weapons in European part of NATO.
Rogthgar on
I can hear the ‘nyet!’ being repeated for hours already along with a lot of huffing, puffing, nuclear threats against everything and repeats of maximalist demands…

I didn’t expect anything from us but I am still disappointed
Darkone539 on
Not a single new country, except the uk and france, have offered troops and we should not be doing this alone.
If nobody else steps up, what’s the point? If America doesn’t want to send troops we can use the Berlin plus agreement.

Thank you Great Britain, you are my best friend,
You are the peacekeeper, you are the legend.

You never have to send forces to Ukraine if the war is not going to end anytime soon!
(insert thinking black guy meme)
Easy to commit to that when you know there won’t be peace before your next election, and you know you’ll get pounded right out of office.
EntertainmentDry950 on
Looks more like the coalition of the unwilling. The ‘answers’ to the journalists questions afterwards was a masterclass in political waffle, not one of them would say boo to the Americans present regarding Greenland – what a mess we are in and a shower they are.
UNKINOU on
So, within the European Union, only France will be in Ukraine.
That speaks volumes about the power of the EU.
ProgrammerFickle1469 on
What a shock. Down to us and the French Foreign Legion. Anyone else in Europe feel like stepping up? Nope. What a shock.
fitzgoldy on
Just us and France…what the actual fuck Europe.
Shinobi_Dimsum on
Pootn will absolutely see this as a force of aggression and spin this to where Russia is not the bad guy, EU being the one provoking to escalate war, some BS like that.
Mental_Comparison636 on
I think they need to send them to Greenland as well
Mishka_1994 on
This is great and all (actually might create a realistic ceasefire), but it also means Putin will NOT accept any deals until he captures as much land as possible.
Snakefinger420 on
There will never be a peace deal. They are going to fight this one out til the end.
ThatSamShow on
What planet are they living on? Putin would never agree to a ceasefire or peace deal that puts NATO military (France, UK and other members) on its doorstep, operating “on Ukrainian soil, securing Ukraine’s skies and seas”.
They can organise meetings, hug, and shake hands all they like, but it will never be accepted.
HangryHuHu on
How about Greenland too?
possiblyMorpheus on
It’d be better to send them now
SuperRektT on
1- This makes peace even more difficult and probably won’t happen until one of the sides fully collapse. Ukraine doesn’t need these bullshit papers, won’t be fullfilled.
2- It’s just a “WILLING intent”, we all know how paper worked recently.
3- Spain is also involved no? What about the rest of Europe? Germany? Alo?
Shaolinpower2 on
I know i’ll be downvoted to hell but… Donald is talking about taking over Greenland. Shouldn’t you send your troops there first?
gizcard on
First, putin needs to be taken care of.
Before that no peace is realistic.
Russian oligarchy, do your thing! Why experience inconveniences and money loses because of an old fool?!
