Robert was the son of the late Humbert and Alva (Bostrom) Toretta. Robert graduated from Sault Area High School in 1962 and graduated from Davenport University in 1964. He owned and operated City Limits Grocery and Cabins in Sault Ste Marie, where he raised his 6 children. After selling the business in 1984, Robert relocated to Norway, where he worked at Lakeside Builders, LaFreniere Motor Company and Auto Value Parts Store before retiring.(WLUC)
