  1. Kinda stupid … could’ve had two allies instead of just one… And everyone embarrassed themselves in the process. It makes you realize that people who you think are smart or not.

I don’t think the US needs or wants Putin’s permission for anything right now

Pretty much guarantee China is also involved, with their bargaining piece being Taiwan.

  4. Please. As if Russia could stop the American military. Don’t believe anything from any swine related to trump of Putin. Russia is a third world dump with nukes

  5. That is a deliberately misleading title.

This was offered ***in 2019*** by the Russian ambassador to the US, and the US rejected it. The article explains all these, but the editors chose to use the most clickbait title they could spin up.

  6. On the one hand, it appears credible these days as we know of the absolute corruption of Trump and his ilk. On the other hand, it could be Kremlin propaganda to counter the fact that Putin suffered a blow in Venezuela …

    Eugh, it’s probably both.

What exactly was Russia offering? Not to send any of their much needed in Ukraine junk military equipment? Maybe they were going to send the mighty Russian fleet (and tugs) to break the US blockade?

Would not surprise me in the least bit. Trump is showing his true colors right now. His real intentions are coming to fruition now. He’s showing us his true self. America is doomed.

  9. Trump doesnt need Russias permission for free reign LOL. He just took it himself. Russia is offering something that is already for free

  10. The invasion of Ukraine was decades in the making, so I am not sure why this shocks me. Perhaps, it’s because it still caught the world by surprise. There were far too many willfully blind eyes. And I am shocked that I am only hearing this now. This was documented in 2019!

But yeah. Sure. Putin changed. No one saw this coming. He used to be more reasonable. Everyone used to be able to sit around the bonfire singing kumbaya. /s

Also, what are the chances that Putin and Orban came to an agreement about Transcarpathia before the invasion? I would be surprised if they hadn’t – especially given some of the things that Orban has said over the last couple of years.

  11. Right. Like Russia has any say in anything globally… Babushka Putin living in his echo chamber…

  12. When you want to make a trade, it’s best to offer something the other party actually needs your permission to take.
