To be fair, I watch PMQs frequently, and it’s usually skewed towards labour backbenchers asking questions.

It would be much better if questions were spread out across opposition parties but this rarely happens:

    PMQs December 17th:

    Melanie Ward (Lab)
    Ben Maguire (LibDem)
    Jessica Morden (Lab)
    Lola McEvoy (Lab)
    Liz Twist (Lab)
    Antonia Bance (Lab)
    Dave Robertson (Lab)
    Julian Smith (Con)
    Andrew Snowden (Con)
    Linsey Farnsworth (Lab)
    Neil Duncan-Jordan (Lab)
    Sam Carling (Lab)
    Abtisam Mohamed (Lab)
    Nick Timothy (Con)

You mean he’ll skip the pointless charade that nobody watches in favour of some air time? I’m just shocked.

  3. Sounds like his usual modus operandi – doing anything but his job, especially if it involves self promotion or receiving money from the enemies of the UK.

I’m no fan of Nigel Farage but its hard to imagine some of the others arnt skipping these too. It’s mostly labour MPs asking the questions these days anyway.

  5. We should bring in rules that party leaders have to take part in certain things, and also that elected MPs have to spend a minimum amount of time actually speaking with their constituencies.

If he doesn’t want to do his job, relieve him of it.

I for one would love to see him, like any other average private citizen, absent from all media.

I mean it is just a pantomime. I wish we would scrap it.

Select comittees are were the juicy stuff happens anyway.

  7. Too cowardly to attend PMQs.

Too cowardly to APPOINT (yes appoint not have a vote on) Reform’s Leader in Wales.

Too cowardly to let a member of his staff take part in a TV debate about the Senedd Election.

WAY TOO COWARDLY to hold an enquiry into Russian influence over his Reform company!!!

  8. Don’t blame him pmqs is always filled with lies or straight up ignorance. Never a question actually answered.

A complete waste of time & money.

The PM should be forced to answer truthfully and completely ANY question asked.

Dictator starmer on X has received 21 community notes for his misinformation and straight up lies that he tweets..
All his interviews and pmqs are pointless unanswered waffle.

Instead it’s blah blah 22billion black hole, lies, cover up or ignore any question.

    Sack the lot of them.

Imagine the costs involved for all MPs and speakers and other parasites that attended 1 days Pmqs.

That money should be spent positively actually doing something.

  9. Shouldn’t be allowed. Not just by him but by anyone bar government and external meetings. They’re paid to attend parliament, we vote for them to represent us at parliament

PMQs are nothing but entirely performative. Absolutely nothing of use comes out of them. The prime minister never answers any question and it’s just a mix of MPs practicing some shit stand up or some lunatic ranting about some niche issue like squirrels eating too many nuts in the local park

  11. I’m no Farage fan but PMQs are a joke and frankly the tip of the iceberg when it comes to “norms” that will be challenged in the coming years.

  12. Times radio journalist could have a field day just asking him why he’s not in parliament 10 times in a row.
