I am still waiting on this government to propose anything that is related to growth aside from handing out money and pushing public expenditure. The only things I am aware of or are:
1. Them hinting at raising taxes in the mid term to increase defense budgets
2. Some adjustments in the tax legislation (bringing back the NISA for minors, considering cryptocurrencies as legitimate investments tax wise, etc.)
3. A bunch of changes to immigration related laws. That is it.
I mean, not like Ishiba did much more during his
time in power but… yeah, less words and more actions please.

OK but how? Japan does not lead the advanced technology any more. Tourism? Good, but tourism industry does not increase people’s salary. Expanding the size of ecnomy? Then you need to people which means more foreigners and immigrants that many Japanese people are against. I feel like these days Japan is becoming like Italy or Spain. Quite shocking they are no longer a leading country in technology

She no Donald Trump and her policies will not have a result similar to that of Trump’s tariffs or anything like that. If anything, the policies will be opposite and start off a little positive and spiral into a disaster.

As someone who is half Japanese half American but living in the States. It has been pretty hard to get various Japanese products here. Maybe that’s why Japans economy is so bad they make really cool products and then they’re like “nope only Japanese people would like these”
