As far as I am concerned, Chuck Schumer is a collaborator who deserves the same fate as the current regime. The Dems need to get rid of him by absolutely any means legally available to them, no matter how underhanded or morally corrupt.

Yet every time I ask someone what they actually want the minority to be doing it’s either something they actually don’t have the power to do or just a spicier version of “strongly worded letter”.
The American people categorically denied Democrats power in the federal government with the 2024 election, they didn’t want them to have the ability to do anything and they don’t.

Democrats have no legislative power. The American voter saw to that. When you care about government, but have no power, how do you stop a regime that hates government, enjoys destruction, and has all the power?
There is only ONE thing Democrats have that they don’t use effectively: MARKETING and SPECTACLE.
When Republicans are not in the majority, they are LOUD, VICIOUS and INSULTING to anything Democrats do. They have a media infrastructure that amplifies the Republican message of the day, with talking points and fierce adherence to the message.
Democrats have NONE of this. There are no insanely wealthy Democrats willing to bankroll a Liberal media infrastructure. George Soros is not a thing. So all Democrats have left is to yell and scream to traditional media. You see the problem there.
Democrats are also not comfortable with spectacle or lying their asses off to achieve a political effect. For all our praise of the proud American voter, we are actually incredibly stupid and easy to manipulate. Democrats simply aren’t willing or able to be as Machiavellian as they need to be.
Frankly, what Democrats need is younger leadership – people who have no real memory of the “old way” of politics. Democrats willing to get in Republicans’ faces, speak uncomfortable truths, and hammer themes loudly until it’s conventional wisdom. And such Democrats need to have a little bit of vicious bastard in them as well.
We are long past a kumbaya moment.
