He was in the middle of the road surrounded by magpies, in the sun. The vet says he’s healthy, just probably overheated. Props to wildlife carers, they are awesome. He will get checked over by the vet then go to a local wildlife carer until he’s well enough to go back to where I found him.

My ring doorbell kept notifying me of movement all afternoon. Every time I checked, I couldn’t see anything. Put it down to the cars going past (though they don’t normally trigger it).

Get home and let the dog out and a very distressed little possum scarpers out of the bushes right next to the camera and up a low branch where is stops. Poor thing does not look good.

I’d left water out earlier but I put the dog away and moved the water closer. Couldn’t see him when I returned but my dog’s desperation to return down the stairs told me the little guy was still around.

Hopefully he found the water I left out.

I had a young one visit my room 2 nights running. Theee are neatly stacked boxes everywhere and he finds a little tunnel somewhere and ends up in the most difficult place to get to. I thought it was a rat until I saw the eyes. I am not their biggest fan.

  3. I found a gorgeous little one on a hot day a couple of years, on a footpath and looking very distressed. It was good to be able to help it out.
