  1. well, it would appear the heavy oil refineries in the gulf are going to be busy refining Venezuelan heavy oil for the near future. Before the invasion, they were exporting about a million barrels a day to our 4.2 million barrels a day. Most of what they exported went to China and Trump has stated it won’t anymore so it will be refined in the refineries Alberta dilbit gets refined.

At least it looks like Carney will get to use Canadian oil as a bargaining chip if Venezuela can’t sell to China.

  2. annonymous_bosch on

Here’s to hoping Carney gets a deal that allows Canadians struggling with cost of living access to Chinese EVs. We’re one of the few “developed” countries where the share of EV sales is actually going down, which is crazy given all the lip-service to the environment by Liberals.

  3. What are the chances that if we increase our trade with China he claims that we are a security risk like Venezuela and that the oil should go to him

  4. Canada could use some help from China for it’s energetic and transport transformation. We are already buying tons of their products.

Security is interesting and if NATO is compromised then nothing should be off the table
