Hello!
I thought I’d ask here as my last resort.
A decade ago, a friend gave us two huge bags of lebkuchen with only one type of cake.
They were rectangular, but round edged, smallish, chocolate and thinly sliced almond covered lebkuchen (no filling). Absolutely delicious, I devoured both bags within 2 days.
The closest one I found is the photo I attached. This was in an Aldi selection box I found a few weeks ago, and it had no specific name for them.
Not sure if they’re Austrian or German (I might post there too), please forgive my ignorance.
If anyone can help me with the name, or if any brand makes this type, I’d be eternally grateful.
Thank you!

I had Printen from this bakery this year and they were incredible: https://printen.de/en/printenshop/listing-of-all-products/
There are quite a few types that look similar to what you look for.
Nussprinten is probably what you are looking for.
Those look like Mandelprinten. “Mandeln” are almonds and “Printen” are a special type of Lebkuchen from Aachen.
thank you for your helpful answers!
it’s definitely nuss/mandelnprinten!
will order a bucketful tonight
