  1. >Canada says it’s committed to reducing temporary resident volumes through departures, program limits and lower immigration levels to less than 5 per cent of the population by the end of 2027.

Encore beaucoup trop élevé, ca devrait même pas être 1%

  2. They just invited another 8000 CEC candidates, primarily former international students for PR through Express entry today, the largest draw ever since 2021. Close to 35k invites since end of November 2025, with a large chunk of these competing with Canadians for the limited number of entry level positions.

I’m just not sure if we have enough housing, jobs, or healthcare resources to justify converting the large number of temporary residents here to PR.

  3. Look honey I cleaned the house!

What do you mean I didn’t? I took out the garbage!

  4. They just issued an hour back new 8000 invitation to apply for pr. In dec also around 10-15k were invited. And that is 8k applicants, ofcourse if family of 3 or 4 is there with applicant then one has to multiply that with 8k 🤷🏽‍♂️

    >As the federal government reduces its immigration levels plan, an immigration lawyer says Canada needs the support of newcomers.

    >“Increase the levels room. Take care of the people that are here,” Ravi Jain said, the founder of Jain Immigration Law. “Canada needs immigrants, it needs people. You know, for all labour force growth, it comes from immigration.”

Ah yes, the time-immemorial sage advise of immigration lawyers. I am sure there is no conflict of interest in this statement.

Just get rid of the employer incentives for hiring non-citizens…. Level the playing field for those of us born here already.

Immigration can be very good for a country… when handled appropriately.

Add additional high tax if any employer hires any non canadians. This will encourage them to hire canadians and also train canadians if they don’t have skills.

🤣🤣 such a joke. Don’t believe your government’s fake immigration news. They already invited 8000 people today. More to come.

I believe when I see it. so far almost half of a million PRs planned for this year and for the next year.

However, in addition to the annual 380,000 target, Canada aims to provide permanent residency to 33,000 [temporary foreign workers](https://financialpost.com/tag/skilled-foreign-workers/) and 115,000 categorized as “Protected Persons in Canada” within the next three years, according to Budget 2025.
Excluding these numbers from the yearly 380,000 target, which already brings in people through four categories — economic, family, refugees and humanitarian — surprised some analysts.

  10. This government is addicted to cheap labour and suppressing the quality of life of Canadians.

  11. >“Increase the levels room. Take care of the people that are here,” Ravi Jain said, the founder of Jain Immigration Law. “Canada needs immigrants, it needs people. You know, for all labour force growth, it comes from immigration.”

Something tells me the person owning an immigration law firm is a little bit biased in what they think is the right thing to do..

  12. I’m all for immigration that fills the actual needs of Canada – like doctors, nurses, and highly skilled persons with a job offer from a Canadian company. For low skill work, unlike the immigration lawyer, I think there is already an overabundance of people already in the country that would like an opportunity to fill these jobs.

  13. Canadian immigration is set up exactly like a Canadian telecom company. Do everything humanly possible to attract coveted new customers while completely neglecting current customers.

When your growth is sustained almost exclusively by housing and a growing population, you are on an unsustainable path to ruin

What are the advantages to being a citizen in Canada? Asking sincerely. Is there anything we’re entitled to that a PR or recent non citizen immigrant isn’t?

Every single article about immigration the media will interview an immigration lawyer to hear their sob story about their business.

  16. Don’t worry they’ll still bring in refugees and pay them a few thousand dollars a month to feed and house them
