Forming unions in tech is always a bad idea when they can close shop and move elsewhere. Not saying they didn’t have the right but this was predictable.
Edit: I think people are misunderstanding. It’s not like I don’t think they should be a thing. It’s just that execs will do just what I described. Don’t shoot the messenger.

Yeah that will definitely make me not buy any of their future games. Fuck Ubisoft
Nobody hates games or the people who make games as much as big gaming companies.

This is why some companies allow the worker to buy the company if its shut down because of this. Its not fair.

Ubiwho? O that one french company that couldn’t produce a hit game even if the company depended om it.
That french company that had to sell themselves to china.
That french company that had to watch their former employees grab all the game awards in front of them because they actually had unique ideas and an imagination.

When will this godawful company fall apart already? Every game they release is either a disappointment or a buggy mess on release, they’ve proven they can’t keep hackers out of their games time and time again and they treat their workers like shit.
Growing up I always knew their games were slop but I felt like there was still a bit of soul in some of them (my favorites were The Division, Siege, and Wildlands) but these days it feels like they’ve polished the soul out of their games while leaving them unpolished technically. I’ve given up on them

>Ubisoft Halifax began as a branch of Longtail Studios, which was founded in New York City in 2003 by Ubisoft co-founder Gérard Guillemot, with branches in Quebec and Halifax being added in later years. It was best-known for its work on the Rocksmith series, as well as various early mobile and Nintendo DS games. In 2015, Ubisoft acquired Longtail and renamed it Ubisoft Halifax, putting it to work on mobile games such as Assassin’s Creed Rebellion and Rainbow Six Mobile.
