Norway’s manufacturing production rose 2.4% month-over-month in November 2025, after an upwardly revised 1.3% decline in the previous month.

This was the largest monthly increase since April, largely driven by a rebound in output for ships, boats and oil platforms (4.6% vs -3.9% in October), textiles, wearing apparel and leather (2.6% vs -1.2%), and transport equipment n.e.c (0.5% vs -0.3%).

Increases were also observed in the production of fabricated metal products (2.4% vs 0.1%), computer and electrical equipment (2.8% vs 1%), and machinery and equipment (1.4% vs 0.4%).

Meanwhile, repair and installation of machinery fell 0.2%, reversing a 2.2% gain in the prior month.

On a yearly basis, manufacturing output grew 4.4% in November, following an upwardly revised 2.4% rise in October.
