As of 1 January 2026, Uroš Lozej has joined the management team of SPAR Slovenia, where he continues in his role as Executive Director responsible for Commercial Operations. SPAR Slovenia’s management team also includes Chief Executive Officer David Kovačič and Executive Director for Operations Jure Petkovšek.
Uroš Lozej has been part of SPAR Slovenia since 2021. He began his career in retail in 1998 and has been working in the fast‑moving consumer goods (FMCG) sector since 2003.
Before joining SPAR Slovenia, he served as General Manager of Farm Ihan, Executive Director of Global Procurement at Mercator, and Director of Procurement at Žito and Fructal, which was then part of the Pivovarna Laško Group.
He holds a degree in agronomy from the Faculty of Biotechnology in Ljubljana and continued his education in economics at the Faculty of Economics, University of Ljubljana. As an ICF‑certified coach, he is strongly committed to people development and leading by example.
With more than two decades of experience in procurement, sales, category management, and FMCG business development, Uroš Lozej will, as a member of SPAR Slovenia’s management team, continue to strengthen procurement processes, align strategy with operational execution, build strong supplier partnerships, and develop relevant offers for customers.
