Honestly they don’t need the house, don’t let the federal government get involved in this investigation because they will either scuttle it or try to protect that murderer.
It can 100% be done by the state, they need to start actually protecting their citizens from the fed; the mayor needs to do more than performatively swear on camera, he needs to order the police to do their jobs. A citizen was murdered by a lawless federal agent and they just let him leave.
Republicans once again showing that they don’t care about law, justice, or American citizens.
This also further shows that they know the ICE agent fucked up. If he were in the right, they’d go for the investigation to show that he’s innocent.

I feel powerless. I want to stand up and fight. But, 40 percent of the country wants this, cheers it on, and thinks I am the enemy. 30 percent barely notices any of this happening.

There has to be an investigation. This is a stain on ICE, our government, our country. Even if you believe it was justified (it was clearly not), without an investigation there’s even less trust than before. This hurts everyone involved. Investigating it is literally the least they can do.
