Maybe someday AI will save time, but at present we’re all wasting away our time on this earth training someone else’s project for free.

Always double check your homework kids!

I mean, it happens, I’ve read books about it. We shouldn’t blame the ai for providing truth just because our meager minds can’t comprehend the majesty of frog transformations.

This is what AI does. Anything it produces MUST be checked thoroughly by a human, with the human held liable for any errors. AI cannot be simply trusted to create final products.

Is Trump going to issue a press release on this one as well? I don’t have enough time rn to write it, so I’ll leave it in the hands of other redditors. I hope I’m not disappointed.

Is the Utah government really leaning into AI? I’ve seen a few headlines about AI use in Utah now.

For a learning app I’m writing test automation for, I had some random fake usernames one of which was “Beatrix”. AI was stuck on the idea that I should complete that string to make it “Beatrix Potter”, over and over and over again. Annoying but made me laugh. AI knows Peter Rabbit apparently!

That, however, is nothing compared to incorporating The Princess and The Frog into a police report! They are laughing so hard down there at the precinct right now.

    >”I’m saving myself about 6-8 hours weekly now,” Keel said. “I’m not the most tech-savvy person, so it’s very user-friendly.”

The bit about a cop turning into a frog will jump out at you, but what other errors will crop up in these important, court-admissable documents?

Is it worh saving those 6-8 hours?  Or is it worth that time being spent to emsure accurate reporting?

Between this and the AI prescription requests, is Utah trying to become the world’s first state governed entirely by AI?

    (a) – Did they check for wizards?

    (b) – If the AI said he turned into a pig, it would be working correctly.
