The Taoiseach and Tánaiste confirmed today that Ireland will vote against the controversial Mercosur trade deal.
While this vote will be symbolic, as the deal is now expected to go through the EU Council tomorrow, the Coalition has decided to stick with its commitment in the Programme for Government and oppose the agreement.
