HBO Max is partnering with media giant RTL+ for the Jan. 13 rollout of a subscription streaming video service in Germany and Austria — part of HBO Max’s goal to reach 150 million paid subscribers by the end of 2026.

“With this bundle, we’re taking the next step in the story of RTL+ and giving HBO Max the perfect stage for its market launch in Germany,” Stephan Schmitter, CEO of RTL Germany, said in a statement.

Matthias Heinze, SVP, commercial, and managing director at Warner Bros. Discovery Germany, Switzerland and Austria, says the bundle “sends a strong signal for the German market and for the future of premium streaming.”

RTL+ Premium and HBO Max Basic with advertising will cost €11.99 per month — instead of €15.98 when booking both services separately. Alternatively, customers can subscribe to the bundle consisting of RTL+ Premium Ad-Free and HBO Max Standard for €17.99 per month (instead of €24.98 when booking both services separately).

In the first month after the launch until Feb. 13, RTL+ Premium and HBO Max Basic (with advertising) will cost €9.99, or the bundle consisting of RTL+ Premium Ad-Free and HBO Max Standard for €15.99.
