A GoFundMe fundraiser has been launched to support Maltese-American singer and former X Factor Malta contestant Amber Woods, who has been diagnosed with stage 4 pancreatic cancer at just 25 years old.

Amber received her diagnosis at the end of 2025 and was found to have acinar cell pancreatic cancer, a rare and aggressive form of the disease, accounting for around 1% of cases worldwide. While doctors say the cancer is treatable, it is currently considered incurable.

Those closest to Amber say that while her life has been profoundly changed by the diagnosis, who she is at her core has not. Known for her warmth, generosity and compassion, Amber has long been the person who shows up for others, offering time, support and kindness without hesitation.

“She is the kind of person who leaves every place, and every person, better than she found them,” her family said in the fundraiser description.

Now, for the first time, Amber is the one needing support.

Cancer treatment comes with an immense physical, emotional and financial toll. Between hospital stays, medication, specialist appointments, time off work and day-to-day living expenses, the costs quickly add up. The GoFundMe campaign aims to ease that burden, allowing Amber to focus on rest, treatment and healing, while providing stability for her and her family during an uncertain and demanding time.

The fundraiser stresses that every contribution, no matter the size, helps cover essential medical and living costs, while also sending a powerful message of solidarity.

“Most importantly, it reminds Amber that she is not facing this alone,” the message reads.

Those unable to donate are encouraged to share the fundraiser or keep Amber in their thoughts and prayers. Her family says the outpouring of kindness and support has already meant more than words can express.

The GoFundMe campaign is live, with the community invited to stand with Amber as she focuses on what matters most: healing, hope and time.
