The city of San Diego is filing an environmental lawsuit to try and stop the buildup of border security. The City Attorney says the federal government is causing environmental damage on city property. The city says razor wire along the border near Marron Valley is causing harm to protected plant and animal habitats and the lawsuit says the border barriers have blocked the city’s ability to comply with environmental agreements and conservation programs. The federal government last year waived several environmental rules for border construction projects.
