Rain or snow will hit northeastern Gyeonggi Province and inland areas of Gangwon Province on Friday night, according to the Korea Meteorological Administration(KMA).
On Saturday, wet or snowy conditions will spread across the county, with mountainous areas in Gangwon Province and the southwestern Jeolla region expected to receive up to 15 centimeters of snowfall, while mountains on Jeju Island could get more than 20 centimeters.
Similar weather will extend into Sunday, mainly in the Chungcheong and southern regions.
Temperatures on Saturday morning will range from minus two degrees to plus eight degrees Celsius, with daytime highs to hover between minus two and plus 11 degrees.
The KMA said another cold spell will set in next week, with the mercury to drop significantly after Sunday morning, dipping to as low as minus 10 degrees in some parts.
