Yes, it’s like that everywhere around Mel, I went outside just before and it really stinks.

same here inner south east.
I opened the doors to let some cool air in and my air filter showed really high l levels of particulates similar to burning something in the kitchen.

I love that the EPA says the air quality is ‘good’ in the cbd right now, when it’s very much so not

Outer Western suburbs here, and I can smell the smoke and it looks smokey here too
Nothing like 2018-19, couldn’t see more than a block in front

Was at AAMI park tonight.
Was great at kick off, but on the second half you could really begin to smell the smoke

I smelt a little smoke this morning and I immediately went to IKEA to get an air purifier. I remember in 2020 they had all sold out.

Just a shitload of deadly bushfires. And maybe a few too many Ford Rangers.

That’s strange! I wonder if there’s an obvious reason why that could be the case…

It’s really bad in the western suburbs. Had to turn the AC off and shut the doors and windows. Would rather be safe and am thankful to the firefighters out there doing the hard yards.
Has anyone donated to the local CFA or SES. Was thinking of ordering a few packs of water, biscuits, Gatorade and having them delivered to the SES or CFA.
2019 was far worse. It’s going to be a cool and rainy week in Melbourne. Enjoy.

All around the metro area too. I’m in Bayside, not far from Mordialloc, I smelt smoke most of the afternoon, I guessed that it’s drifting across the Bay from the Otways.
Stay safe everyone – you can replace objects, you can’t replace people. 💕

That was Ballarat yesterday. Couldn’t see the rolling hills because of all the smoke.
I was at the movies and about halfway through could start to smell it through the air con. Was greeted by an eerily empty shopping centre and a hellish sunset when it was over.

It was pretty bad out lilydale way at 5:30pm. Was fine for almost all of today until then and came good again at about 9pm when the wind swung more southerly.
I expect it’ll be fine tomorrow

That smoke is literally our collective bushland, livestock, fences, sheds, machinery, homes.Â

Consulted my dad’s fireman mate and got this for $45 on Amazon, I remember a few years back it got quite bad. Comes with 3 typed of filters and cans
Obviously it’s from the fires around the state.
We got it in Geelong, blowing over from the fires in the Otways.
Youre not wrong! But you’re also literally standing in the southern cross station exhaust haha, that walkway is always toxic as fuck on a good day

This smoke is coming through from thr Otways fires.
