The body of a missing woman was found in an apartment in Niiza City, Saitama Prefecture, and it has been revealed that a man who lived in the apartment and was arrested on the 9th on suspicion of abandoning the body has made a statement to the effect that he "punched the woman in the nose several times in front of her house, forced her into his car, and took her home."
The arrested suspect, Yamaguchi Arata, was indicted on the 10th on suspicion of abandoning the body of Yamamoto Sanae, who had been missing for three days, in a room in his apartment in Niiza City.
According to police, an autopsy revealed that Yamamoto's cause of death was suspected to be asphyxiation.
It is also believed that Yamaguchi ambushed Yamamoto and abducted her immediately after he returned home in his car, but subsequent interviews with investigators revealed that Yamaguchi made a statement to the effect that he "punched Yamamoto several times in the nose in front of his house, forced him into his car and took him home."
The dashcam in Yamamoto's car recorded what appears to be Yamamoto's screams for about 20 seconds, and police are investigating the possibility that Yamaguchi abducted Yamamoto in a relatively short period of time.

Probably one of the most common type of crime in JapanÂ
I’m a little confused by the change in pronouns. “abducted him after he returned home in his car”? Who is him? Is that supposed to be “abducted her immediately after she returned home in her car”?
