You do know that the US has been in a scientific decline since the late 80s early 90s. We stopped our particle colliders and other large scale science projects. European and Asian countries have continued the work. The US has been slipping into fascism cow towing to big business. There is no money for big business in experiments. I wonder what will happen to the US when no one needs or wants fossil fuels.

  2. Agent Orange has never missed an opportunity to erode American soft and hard power.

If you voted for Agent Orange, you are responsible for the loss of American prestige … in all areas.

There is no such thing as a good Republican.

  3. I use to worry this might cause a black hole or something… but at this point I’m ok with it.

  4. Joke’s aside, which seems to be in every comments nowadays, could I get an actual scientific opinion from a scientist or student scientist please….

  5. I’m fairly certain I saw this same exact headline like two months ago. I wouldn’t be surprised if they just ctrl+c,ctrl+v’d this

  6. “Thought to be impossible” is such a stupid fucking headline.

They aren’t doing any of this because its impossible.

It is very much fucking possible, it just might take 100s of billions or trillions of dollars to get it to work, but there is not any doubt, this shit WILL WORK EVENTUALLY.

Fuck off with this bullshit headline

  7. ‘China claims’ and ‘previously thought impossible’ is enough to get the BS detector dial moving in these cold war 2.0 days. I’ll believe it when it’s independently verified, as should investors.
