Belarus has banned the sale and import of the Russian Rexona antiperspirant “Tender and Juicy,” including sets that contain it. The product was
added
to the State Standard’s register of dangerous products.

The examination confirmed that the antiperspirant’s composition does not meet the requirements for perfumery and cosmetic products. The component Butylphenyl methylpropional (lilial) was used in its production, which is recognized as potentially dangerous: it can cause allergic reactions, including contact dermatitis, and negatively affect the reproductive system.
In EAEU countries, Butylphenyl methylpropional has been banned from use in new perfumery and cosmetic products since April 19, 2023.
Measures have been taken regarding Rexona: a ban on sale and import, withdrawal from circulation, and annulment of documents confirming its compliance.
