  1. > “The generals think Trump’s Greenland plan is crazy and illegal,” a diplomatic source told the Mail. “They are trying to deflect him with other major military operations. They say it’s like dealing with a five-year-old.”

    Yeah, we know.

  2. Kind reminder that the Italian and German militaries had motive, means and opportunity to remove their dictators well before the war and let those ships sail.

    Learn from our mistakes.

At least good to hear that the top brass aren’t completely brainwashed MAGAts

I don’t know much about the powers of the US military, but won’t he just have them replaced with yes men?

Unless the military goes full ~~coop~~ coup, what can they actually achieve?

  5. If america invades greenland, america is cooked. The level of hatred you guys will receive will be unprecedented. You will be ostracised from the western world and find out very quickly that you can’t actually support yourselves without the rest of us.

  6. This administration needs to be removed from power before the next election by any means necessary.

There has to be some kind of connection to Hitler in his DNA. Asshole megalomaniac!

  8. Didn’t Calgula, when he was mad, have his army attack reeds? Trump is planning on having our army attack ice.

I really thought Americans would have better guardrails in place but “hey blow up stuff over here instead of there” sounds about right.

    Edit grammar.

  10. pretty soon there wont be anybody left to resist Trump, his Nazi admin Stephen Miller will be gunning for them especially, this is a huge danger.

Its time to get rid of these criminals, doesnt matter how they go, they just need to be gone, literally millions of lives depend on their removal.

He’ll just fire them and replace them with officers who will do what he says. A purge of any opposition in the military top brass always happens early in the process towards a dictatorship. Maybe the White House see an invasion of Greenland and the destruction of the NATO alliance as a perfect opportunity to identify the generals to be purged

  12. > They say it’s like dealing with a five-year-old

That’s the exact problem. Trump is an adult with the brainpower and thinking skills of an adolescent. He never grew out of it as, as a golden spoon person, he never had to. How a fool like that got voted into power, *twice*, is almost incomprehensible.

  13. The American people voted a senile megalomaniac rapist to be commander in chief of what is, by an overwhelming margin, the most powerful military force the world has ever known. Said rapist is just properly figuring that out now.

Im worried that, if he does give the order, and the military obeys it, that he’ll discover that the US military could obliterate any contingent of force the Europeans could muster up to defend Greenland, and probably take very few losses doing it.

What the hell does he do then? They say you have to stop a bully punching you by punching him back, but what happens when the bully realises he is, actually, functionally invincible?

Asking military leaderships to plan invasion of an ally. Can someone tell me how this is not immediate impeachement?

  15. Military leaders are bound by law and the Uniform Code of Military Justice (UCMJ), this requires them to refuse unlawful orders… let’s see what happens next…

  16. The only thing standing between him and the 2026 Peace Prize is a Greenland invasion. If they can free the people of Greenland from their …. Checks notes …. Danish overlords they almost have to give it to him. Oppressing them with their free healthcare and social safety net.

Well Americans remember the 2000’s where it was cool to hate on you? Its gonna be a shit show now, buckle up buckaroos!

  18. I mean the US is allowed to open as many military bases as they want, but they reduced them themselves to just one. And US companies are fully allowed to get the mining license. Its just way to expensive to mine there right now.

  19. Why can’t congress vote to prevent Trump from taking military action as they did with Venezuela?

  20. If congress does nothing about this, then they need to be considered as rogue as he is, and all need removed for dereliction of duty. He’s not going to be around forever.

  21. Someone just needs to show him Greenland on a globe instead of a Mercator projection map. He’ll be disappointed when he realises that the island isn’t nearly as massive as he thinks.

  22. Guys, as an Irish person, if this invasion happens, you might want to cancel that European holiday you are planning.

If the Russians had an agent become US president, what would they do differently? Russia doesn’t give a shit about Venezuelan trade, it’s theatre. Trump is giving them what they really want, a divided America and the collapse or removal of US from NATO.

  24. This should be front page news today and Trump removed from his role due to incapacity due to physical and mental illness.

I am so tired of the responses people have to this admin’s nonsense.

“That is completely illegal!”, – It should be clear by now that this does not matter.

“Protest!”, – Does not matter; effectively does nothing.

“The dems will wake up and fix this!” – They could have done this already. Much as Trump blatantly disregards domestic and international law and rulings from the Highest Court, so too could Congress, the SC, anyone else. Ask yourself why it is that Trump can ignore basically everything, perhaps due to the immunity granted to him by the SC, but somehow the ruling of immunity itself that he hides behind is somehow not subject to the same disregard? It could be just as easily ignored and actual ACTION taken to stop this debacle — but has chosen not to be. Instead, we get party aligned political outrage theater on purpose. Dems know their passionate speeches to nearly empty Chambers and scratching YouTube videos promising they, “will not let this stand”, won’t do anything — besides effective means of fundraising. Think about that.

I have been to DC and interacted with both sides as high as the WH level. They’re all in the same club. Dems love Trump because he’s an amazing means of rallying their own base and extracting cash. They care about reelection and remaining in power. In a closed room with no cameras or journalists around, other than the color of the tie you’d be unable to differentiate party affiliation.
